IAMA invites airlines to shape the retrofit market
Oct 28, 2020
We are reaching out to Technical Experts within the Airlines Community to gather pain points you might face in your aircraft modification projects that will help shape the content and solutions for the IAMA Standard to benefit your future projects. To ensure we’re addressing Airline priority issues, we would like to invite you to complete a short anonymous survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PQXLSF5.
The Independent Aircraft Modifier Alliance (IAMA) was formed in 2018 by Eclipse Technics, Envoy Aerospace, Etihad Engineering and Lufthansa Technik to support the aircraft retrofit modification market. These founders, as well as various new partners, collaborate to develop standards that streamline communication and documentation within approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) modification projects and implement the agreed standard throughout the full lifecycle of the modification – from RFP to After-sales Support.
The main objectives of IAMA are to agree to common standards for the documentation and quality of STCs, to establish an available, secure documentation platform for airline customers and aircraft owners using STCs and to inform the relevant public and expert communities about the advantages of STC-approved solutions.
We believe an independent, transparent market is a strong market that will benefit everyone and therefore, the industry solution must address all stakeholder’s interest.
We highly value your insights – as well as those of your colleagues – and would appreciate your time, or any member of your teams, in support of this Global initiative.
